Default All the world's a stage

What does the underlined sentence mean? This extract is from the poem "All the world's a stage" by William Shakespeare.

    " Then a soldier,
Full of strange oaths and bearded like the pard,
Jealous in honour, sudden and quick in quarrel,
    Seeking the bubble reputation
    Even in the cannon's mouth."

    The bubble reputation = a short-lived glory

Even in the cannon's mouth = in the position of highest danger on the battlefield.

The soldier is seeking quick glory at great risk of losing his life.
