    Smile reports of/about teenagers

There are many reports of/about teenagers who run away from home to meet their cyber friends.

Do both of and about work with the above wording? If yes, do they communicate the same idea? Thanks.

Reports of - this sugests a less formal reporting to me.
Reports about - this suggests more fully documented reporting to me.
