    sick

Could someone tell me what are the differences among the the sentences below:
    1-He came down with flu.
    2-He went down with flu.
3-He fell / took sick with flu.
4-He was laid low with flu.
    5-He laid up with flu.
    6-He became ill with flu.

    Thanks in advance.
