    adverb - word order

    Could you tell me about word order in this sentence below.

    "We cannot live by alone bread."


    I chose "only" instead of "alone" .

    But the model answer is "by bread alone."

    "by bread alone" is a well known phrase

    "We cannot live by bread alone ."
