    There is no point taking a risk on a stranger.

    I try to catch on the above utterance by rendering it into the following. Correct me if I am wrong and tell me why in a few words. Thanks.

    It doesn't make sense to risk on a stranger.
    It's nonsensical/meaningless/not valid/not logical to risk for a stranger.

    Neither says the same thing. The example sentence is saying that there is no advantage in taking a risk by trusting a stranger. It is a sentence which needs more context to make full sense.

    When travelling alone, there is no point in taking a risk on a stranger.
