    Question sentences

    I have a question ? Can you begin a sentence with the words "Because or With and the word And? i say no my daughter says yes. What do you think?

    It is usually advised that co-ordinating conjunctions should not be used to start a sentence, so "And" should be avoided - certainly in formal writing such as a school essay.

    I see no problems with using Because or With at the start of a sentence.

    Almost all style manuals agree that you can start a sentence with because, with, and, and but. However, there are many uninformed "old-school" English teachers who object to these types of constructions without any valid reason for those objections.

    Personally I think it is weak writing. Often these sentences can be combined with the previous sentence to make a more interesting compound sentence.
