    Default What are "one-off" reasons?

    Dear teachers,

next sentence is about the recovery of Japan's economy these months.

Banks are bringing their bad loans under control and consumer prices rose late last year for the first time since 1998, albeit for one-off reasons.

    What does "one-off reasons" mean?

    Thanks
