    Default Type It Button

Here it is an exercise about using Windows Vista. it says:

    Try it.
    Click Start.
    Type Notepad.
    Type It Button.

i am so confused about the phrase "type it button". what does this possibly mean?

    thanks.

It refers to a feature in Windows Vista called "Shorthand." If you hit the F10 key on your keyboard, it should bring up the Shorthand menu. You then select your keyword then press the Type It button to insert the text. (The "Type It" button appears onscreen, it is not on your keyboard.)
