    hey i wanna know what catch up meaning, i think is slang

    To catch up with is a phrasal verb.
    I'll give you two examples first:

    I missed two lessons at school. I have to work hard to catch up with the rest of the class.
    = to stay at the same level as

    Slow down! You're walking too fast! I have to run to catch up with you!

    = to stay at the same speed as
