    Default Sentence correction

    Is this correct:

    John updated me that he was not aware that he had to send me the report.

    I would not use the word "updated" here. This means that John told you something and then later gave you more information.

    I would use the word "informed" instead.

    John informed me that he was not aware that he had to send the report to me.
