    Finalize vs Finish

Are finalize and Finish the same? ( Am I right to use are here, or should be is?)
    I have some sentences:
I've not _______ (finished/ finalize) my homework yet
The plan will be _______ (finished/ finalize) by this June
The work will be _______ (finished/ finalize) this Sunday
    Which is the correct answer?

When you "finalize" something, you perform the last actions to something to bring it to completion.

When something is "finished" it has been completed.
