    concept questions !!!!!!!!!!!!!

    hi all

    Ok!..i have started my CELTA a few months ago..and the most trouble im having in teaching is Concept questions.

    I want to know what is the rule or action you take in knowing what concept questions you ask in any given word/topic.

    What are the stages in asking the correct concept questions???

    I'm gonna take a stab at this because I'm not sure what this concept really means.

    Let's say the word is 'tired'. So, would a concept question not put this word in context, such as,

    "You sure have worked hard today. Are you tired?"

    Is that what a concept question is, Arabica?

    There's some good advice about concept checking questions on the British Council website.
    But I don't think there are any easy answers. Teachers just have to use their brains and their knowledge of what their classes are capable of, to form the right kind of questions.
