    Default have difficulty doing sth

They had (considerable) difficulty finding her house.
We had (considerable) difficulty finding anywhere to park.

My question is: Did the speaker find it in the end?

And in the sentence 'It was (considerably) difficult for them to fine her house', did they find it in the end?

    Thank you very much.

Without more context, yes, they did find it. But they had a lot of difficulty in doing so.
