    Cool hard work?

    Hi,

When someone has been convicted and has to stay in jail for a while, we are used to say in French: "travaux forcés", which means word by word "forced work"
Ex: He has been convicted for 8 years of "forced work"?? Can I use this term in English?

    Happy New Year,
