1.Is there any hospital there? is the correct one.
2.Are there any hospitals there? is correct also.
I uaually use the first one.
I don't know what is the difference between them, and what we do now is to ask the native speaker.

Any is a quantifier pronoun, that may take an of-phrase. For countable nouns, both singular and plural can be used with any. For uncountable nouns, singular can be used with any.
You may use "any (of) hospital" , "any (of) hospitals", and "any (of) chalk".
    Hope that helps you.

Could the native speakers answer my question please?
What is the difference between these two sentences?
    Is there any hospital there?
    Are there any hospitals there?
    Thank in advance.

The correct sentence is : Are there any hospitals there?

Any is a determiner used with uncountable nouns or plural nouns. This determiner answer the question :how much or how many?

e.g. Is there any milk left? - how much? [ uncountable noun : milk]
Are there any hospitals there? - how many? [ countable noun : hospitals]

Re: Which one is the correct one?

I think "Is there any hospital there?" is wrong. It should be "Is there a hospital there?"

Yeah, the correct one is "Are there any hospitals there?"

Re: Which one is the correct one?

    1. Do they have a hospital there? Is there a hospital on the island?

    2. Do they have any hospitals there? Are there any hospitals on the island?

(We try to avoid repetition of words as in 1. Is there any hospital there?)

If a native speaker said, "Is there any hospital there?" it would be for a specific reason/effect. He would be saying, Is there anything like a hospital in that godforsaken place/anything that passes for a hospital in....
In asking the question, he probably has a picture of this place as being so primitive, that what we regard as 'a hospital' couldn't possibly exist there. The question is asking, just how primitive are things there in the way of getting medical help? The tone of voice would be one of great doubt, as if he is saying, there can't possibly a hospital in such a godforsaken place!
