    Default is Awake a verb?

    hi,

    I just wanna ask about this word Awake

    as i found it in all dictionaries as an adj. but here in this site i found it as a verb as an irregular verbs

    so could you please help me ?

    We usually use "awake" as an adjective, as in: "Are you awake?"

    However, it can also be a verb, and means roughly the same as "wake": "He awoke one morning..."
