go for days
I am writing to make sure my understanding about going for days in the following sentence. Does that mean that the speaker is going to wait for many days in order to see the dentist?
"Seeing the dentist. I worry about going for days before the appointment."
Re: go for days
I hate to go to a dentist. For several days before the appointment, I can't eat, I can't sleep, I actually worry about it. Is the dentist going to pull my teeth off, or is he/she going to hurt me? I don't think the speaker purposely waits for several days. It just says he/she worrys about it for several days before the appointment.
