    Default Resignation notice

I want to resign from my current company because they didnít pay my salary for the past 6 months ago. How to ask them to pay my salary?

    Dear Sir/Madam,

    Resignation Notice

I hereby wish to tender my resignation as Engineer for ABC Corporation with effect from 9 January 2007.

As per the required 1 month advance notice I would appreciate if you could inform me on my last working day after having deducted my annual leave entitlement.

I am very appreciated if you can disburse the outstanding payment for my salary since August last year.

I wish to thank the company and staffs for all the opportunities provided in my professional and career development during my tenure.

    Sincerely,

    Hampeh

There are a number of grammatical errors in your letter, but it is completely understandable and would do the job.

thanks for your prompt reply. I really appreciate that.

I have one question here. I never heard people use effective m [date]..normally what i hear is effective on [date]

just want to get the clarification... is it typing error or can i really use that word.

In the dictionary that i refer, m meaning

    M1 (also m)
∑ n. (pl. Ms or Mís)
1 the thirteenth letter of the alphabet.
2 denoting the next after L in a set of items, categories, etc.
3 the Roman numeral for 1,000. [from L. mille.]

    Thanks again :)

Thanks all. I just change a little bit in the draft. Is it acceptable? Actually, i want to emphasize that they need to pay my salary, but i'm not sure how. Is it ok just to state it like below. Thanks again :)

Thank you very much for understanding. (Actually, I donít really want to thank them as they did not paid my salary since last year. But they have to thank me because I didnít make police report and sue them. Iím really angry because of this. What should I do to emphasize that they really really need to pay my salary)

    Sincerely,

    Hampeh

Thanks guys, here is my final draft. I forgot to put something as a collateral until they pay all my salaries.

Or should I say, ďIf not, I will report this matter to the police and other authorities that related to this matter and I will sue you!. Hopefully I donít see you guys at the court. I wish I could settle this problem without any problems. However, it depends to you guys.Ē)

Until I get the full payment, I will submit all assets belong to the office such as notebook, keys etc. (I want to say that Iíll keep all assets until they pay all my salaries, claims etc2)

Thank you very much for understanding.

I hope you will attend to the request for my back salary with all expediency. I will expect to hear from you within a week. If not, I will contact you. (Does it sounds quite rude? It's not rude but I would write the last sentence as: If I do not hear by [date], I will be forced to take the matter further.

Until I get the full payment, I will submit all assets belong to the office such as notebook, keys etc. (I want to say that Iíll keep all assets until they pay all my salaries, claims etc2)

This is a less secure situation. You could face a charge of theft by not returning office property. It is not really wise to use a threat of this kind. If you must, then:

Once I have received all the moneys due to me, I shall return my set of office keys to you.

Thank you very much for understanding.

    Yours sincerely,

    Hampeh

I just notice something. I’m not sure whether it was really error or not because when I copied it to Ms Word and run spell checker, I found a couple of mistake. (Please correct me if I’m wrong)

I would appreciated (wrong?) it if you would disburse the outstanding salary payments due me since August of last year.
