I Have Just Joined Teaching Literature And Facing Problem In Stylistic Analysis Of She Walks In Beauty By Lord Byron
I have just read this poem ,and there is a sentence I do not understand .
have a look at it ,please .
'But tell of day in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent!'
I'm really confused by the phrase But tell of day in goodness spent
please paraphrase it so that I can understand .
In English, we might say "back in the day" which just means "in the past" sometime.
Also we spend time as well as money.
