His latest fashion line reveals his unusual genius as a designer.

What exactly does "line" in the above refer to? Thanks.

It means that the designer has created a range of clothes and accessories that are linked in some way.

See here for examples of fashion lines: Catwalk Queen: Coca-Cola launches a fashion line called Coca-Cola Clothing

Sarah Jessica Parker's Bitten Fashion Line

    Thanks, Anglika.
But I have still have two questions. First, are 'fashion line" and "clothing line" identical in meaning?
Second, is it identical to say "a series of clothes and accessories" instead of the bolded part in your reply?

"clothing line" is more restrictive to clothes; "fashion line" indicates both clothes and accessories.

I don't think you can use "series" instead of "range". They are not interchangeable.

    Thanks, Anglika.

But I don't get it though. Why doesn't "series" work? I think we use "series" in our language.

Series = a number of similar or related things coming one after another

Range = a set of different things of the same general type
