    A sad thing...

Me and my grandmother have started a petition.
Rome, homeland of archaeology. Wonder for billions of travellers. The most famous ruins are here.
Somehow they are not so respected as they should.
In a spot unbuild, near S. Giovanni/Zama square (IX Circoscrizione), ancient Roman ruins have been discovered during an archaeological check.
In the place should be built a church. Meanwhile the ruins are going to delete and the spot is now full of dump.

You can do something! Stop it! Sign and this petition will arrive onto the right desk! What are you waiting for?
I think it should be signed.
If you think it's spam, I won't post the link, we'll only talk about it.
If you don't think that, I can post it.

Tell what do you think 'bout it, let's "chat"...

I definitely will sign it,that is the worst thing could ever happen to ancient ruins,I don't want it to be destroyed the way Pasargad archeological sites did.
So please give us the link,I think it's too important to take action as soon as possible. We are responsible for this I believe and I'm ready to do my part of this.

To let you know how horribly it could be vanished please read about sivand dam.The article is a bit old, which means all archeological sites, and everything that had been there for over 7000 years,is now under water, though there were 30,000 online and almost another 30,000 signatures at the tables in the streets,it finally didn't work and we,I mean the whole world, lost it all.
you can read and sign the petition about Archeological sites of Pasargad here
and read more about this sad event and a lot more about what happens everyday in Iran on the website basically established to warn people about the damages Sivand dam would make, but now is informing us about damages everyday happen to ancient buildings and ruins in Iran. Here's the link:
    save pasargad.com- English Sections

    Anyway I'm with you
We're on the same boat I think!!

    Re: A sad thing...

Well, the very difference is that our (mine and my grandmother's) petition is smaller, we're only trying to contact our "Circoscrizione" (it's like a little commune into the big one).
Probably that ruins were only old basements or a domus or maybe catacombs...
(I'm going to print some brochures with "It was better 6 feet under" (in italian) written onto)
    I hope that something'll happen...

The link is (vox populi vox dei => what the people want, is what God wants so don't say it's spam) Salviamo dei reperti Romani! * Let's save these Roman ruins Petition

You need to make it bigger and bigger, some online signatures are not going to work without other attempts.Maybe you try writing small articles to newspapers, they always welcome these things and many people will know about this. The title you have chosen for your brochures is impressive, just don't waste time,I don't know how close it is,but you shouldn't let it end up like we did.I truly hope you won't let them build the church over your history.

    Good luck,Amir

Completely agree with you on this, Simonsito and I've got a couple of other people to sign it, too. But I agree with atlaisha, too. It needs other media involvement.
