    yawn "stickily"

    Hello, teachers.
I came across an expresstion that I am not very sure what it means. It is

    ...the dog yawned stickily...

Does this mean (1) the dog yawned letting out unpleasantly hot and damp breath, or (2) the dog yawned opening its mouth slowly as if the lips (does the dog have lips?) stick together?

    Re: yawn "stickily"

stickily - adv. form of sticky
meaning warm and humid or with difficulty

I'd say both definitions could be used.
