    Default Tense

I received this e-mail today. The tense seems strange, but can't place it. Could someone take a look and tell me what is going on here. And, is it incorrect?

    Tim,

Thanks for this. We would be using this very soon and letting you know the feedback.

    Thanks,

It's the progressive or continuous form of the conditional. It sounds strange and I'd use'will' there.
