"afraid to make" and "afraid of making"

Hello! Im Rodrigo from Brazil. Ive just signed up. This is my first question: What is the difference between "afraid to make mistakes" and "afraid of making mistakes"? Ive seen both of them and I wonder if they have different meanings or they dont.
