    world perspective

In the following sentnece, what does " world perspective' mean? Also, what does it mean by ' are pleasant to the ear?

When a language is lost, meaing no living person can teach another, a world perspective is lost.

Colloquial phrases are pleasant to the ear, not only because they are familar, but also because they reflecta unique aspect of a culture.

    Re: world perspective

    .
world perspective = a view of / an attitude toward the world. The lexis of a language reflects its speakers' feelings and approaches to life and the world they live in. For example, there is the famous (but incorrect) notion that the Eskimos have dozens of words for snow.

are pleasant to the ear = sound good/right/appropriate.
