Question Tag... isnīt it or isnīt he?

    Dear teachers,

I was practising doing some tests on this site. One question tag corrected me by saying:

Thatīs the guy that won the pools, isnīt it?

    Should it not say:

Thatīs the guy that won the pools, isnīt he?

I thought isnīt he was correct as IT is for things and animals?

    Thanks for any replys
    Carlos

Carlos, in fact the tail-end of the sentence is referring to the beginning:

If you break the sentence down a bit you have: 'That is .......... isn't it?' Which would make sense as well if you said 'He is ....... isn't he?'
