    How's it doing?

    Hi people,

so, something is querying my attention:

    I know I can say:
So, How are you doing = How's everything = how are you = how do you do (politer), right?

    but, could I say...

How's your English learning doing? I meant ... Do you keep studying English, is your English good? Are you making progress?
Or, is it supposed to be "going" instead of "doing" when one talks about a thing (not a person) ?

    Thanks in advance

one more question... could you correct these following sentences for me?

So, did you get/find the house where/which/that the american teachers are teaching some english at/in?
I just saw her once / one time!

    Many thanks

    Re: How's it doing?

    Hi,

    Try these:
How are you doing with your English studies?
How are you coming along in your study of English?
How are you doing in English?
    How are your Englishstudies going?

I'm sure other people will have other variations, but generally "you" are doing, and your studies are going.

So, did you find the house in which the American teachers are teaching?

I just saw her once. (This is my preference, but if you want to be very emphatic, you can say "I saw her only one time!")

    [not a teacher]

    Is this sentence wrong?

So, did you find the house which the American teachers are teaching in?

I am a newbie to English, but it sounds good to me!
Isn't it similar to 'who do you live with', 'what house does she left the case in', something like that?
    Thanks a lot

Put it this way - it is colloquial but not the best grammar in the world.

    yeah, you can say:
    - How's your English?
    - Well, it's getting improved as time goes by! And yours?
    - So is mine, it's going pretty well!

'to come along' can mean 'to proceed, develop, or advance successfully'

    please teachers, correct these sentences
