    The following sentences are an extract from script. what is a part in bracket called? what is a part exept bracket called?

    LORELAI: Angel. You've got wings, baby.
    [The phone rings as Lorelai goes back to her table. Luke answers it.]
    LUKE: Luke's. [pause] Yeah.

    The conversation is the "dialogue."

    The bracketed part is the "scene action" the actor does.

    Someone may have the exact buzzword for it. Stay tuned.
