    I'm learning the basics

Here, students and teachers alike use grammatical termology that's very helpful in analizing and explaining English, I feel quite out of place and find it hard to present a question in an intelligent way. I learned English in Chinese (ultimate parodox), the limited grammatical terms I came to know I know them in Chinese. I don't own an bilingual dictionary and they are not available in the area where I live.

So if someone can just give me a list of the names of parts of speech or practical ones for my level of English with examples of each name, that would be just wonderful. I'd like to learn to identify parts of speech.

    Thanks in advice.

Just so you know I've tried the "language tips" page on this site, it didn't help me. My first reaction to its very first grammatical term "adjunct" on the page along with it's definition was "huh?", and so was my 2nd, 3rd, 4th.............
