Smile Does this sound OK in English

Hi dear experts. I was wondering if you could understand this:

" Another typical feature of Bulgarian character is modesty. Getting embarrassed and even making an attempt to belittle one's services when being praised is quite common a behaviour in Bulgaria."

    Not an expert! But...

" Another typical feature of Bulgarian character is modesty. Being embarrassed by compliments, and even making an attempt to belittle one's services when being praised is quite common a behaviour in Bulgaria."

    Hi, David!

    Your suggested revision looks great!

What would you think about the following little 'tweak'?

" Another typical feature of Bulgarian character is modesty. Being embarrassed by compliments, and even making an attempt to belittle one's services when being praised, is quite common (a) behaviour in Bulgaria."

    Cheers,
    Amigo
