    Re: vision

Assume that something was said after which someone said: 'Sorry, we all get tunnel vision'?

Tunnel Vision is an idiom I suppose to mean that they don't have wide-enough minds to grasp what was said till then; or that they have chosen to restrict themselves to something that doesn't cover what was being said.

I think the one who said that was regretting. That they had narrow minds - like a binoculars' two tunnels that limit our vision.

    Re: vision

"Tunnel vision" is a medical condition in which the retina is diseased and the peripheral vision disappears, so the person sees as if looking down a dark tunnel to a small patch of light at the end.

As Schmoozed suggests, it is used as a metaphor for a restricted view of something.

    Hi Pete

Blinkered can also be used in the same context
