    Default "can to take"

" A police inquiry into the purported plot caused major disruption to flights in Britain, and eventually led to tight restrictions on the items airline passengers can to take aboard planes as carry-on luggage."

    hi,
i found this piece of text on a renowned newspaper on the web.
the proposition TO, above, seems to be a typo?
    could it be?
    thanks.

It certainly appears to be an extraneous word. Poor proofreading is likely the cause.
