Please help!! Are my Recommendation Letters too long?

    Hello everybody!

I am preparing my application package for applying to a Master programme.

I have my academic recommendation letters from my professors, but they seem to be a bit long, according to some people.
The problem is that I like the RL the way they are and cant decide which sentences to delete in order to make them shorter! :S

Their length is a page and half including the university header, salutations, dates, addresses, Yours faithfully...etc!

Are they too long? Pfff... if so, it will be tough to make them shorter.!

    Thanks for your help!

    Short and sweet . . .

    To whom it may concern,

This letter is a recommendation for Mary Smith to attend __________________

She was a student in my class, _____________________ during ___________________. In that class, I found her to be __________________________, and ______________________. Her work was _____________ and _____________________. One of her outstanding attributes is ________________________.

I feel she will make a fine student at your institution. For more information, contact me at the above address.
