    How to explain?

Hello friends. May I ask you how do you explain flowers when they are about to die? Which verbs you usualy use? And do you use a romantic word or you have some easy verb to explain flowers when they start dying?
    Do you use fade?

    Do you use fade?
Plants tend to wilt if they need watering.
Beyond that, they wither or wither away.

Thank you dear for your answer. But once I heard that the word ''fade'' is suitable.
For example: The flowers are faded.
    What is the difference?

"Faded" is acceptable, but in my experience this is usually accompanied by "and died".
i.e. The flowers faded and died.
