traffic jam is a countable compound noun
you could also be referring to a particular type of food
which can be both countable or uncountable ,depending on whether you meant different kinds of jam
    or the stuff as such

    hope this helps

The southern regions - yes, there are some wonderful places there. However, as a person from Northern Germany (also referred to as 'Nordlicht') I daresay you have missed a lot. Maybe you'll get another chance to catch up on visiting the lowlands and the sea (not forgetting the towns, of course).
