    possessives

    Hello, I have a doubt about how to use possessives in English, example, I can say my English homework, but why don't we say my english's homework or my homework of English?

    my English homework = my homework concerning English, the school subject
    my English's homework won't work and neither will my homework of English, I'm afraid.
