    Default swept on / given out

    In the flw. situation what is the right expression that we can use.

    The local newspaper ran the story, wich was then swept on / given out vy the naational and international press.

    I use swept on, but can i also use the .. given out.

    What is the diference?

    I use swept on, but can I also use the .. given out.
