    Question Lacking vs Missing

    Hello,

Could someone explain me what is the difference between lackin and missing. Which statemente is correct? :
    a) Based on the analysis information, it was found that the analyzed connector presented open condition on Pin#8 because an internal metal piece was lacking.
    b) Based on the analysis information, it was found that the analyzed connector presented open condition on Pin#8 because an internal metal piece was missing.

    Thanks,
    JP
