    Hi RM.

    1. 1.I need some time alone to reflect on [consider/think about?] what has just happened.
Can 'reflect on' be replaced with 'consider' or 'think about'?

    2. He has a reason to hate her because she is responsible for him losing his job.

Can 'him' be omitted? (i.e. He has a reason to hate her because she is responsible for losing his job.)

3.It was a difficult business [situation?] getting everything ready in time.
Can 'business' be replaced with 'situation'?

8.He greeted me in [on?] the street with a friendly wave of the hand.
Can 'in' be replaced with on?

    Thanks for your reply.

    Yes

    2. He has a reason to hate her because she is responsible for him losing his job.

    No

3.It was a difficult business [situation?] getting everything ready in time.

Would depend on context, but probably.

8.He greeted me in [on?] the street with a friendly wave of the hand.
Can 'in' be replaced with on?

Yes; likely more of a regionalism, but acceptable.

    Thanks for your reply.
    Welcome!
