    seeking higher authority's permission

    i sent a book to one of my higher officials.
    how can i ask him to send back to me.

    which is the correct one?

    "Could you send me back the book".

    <<or>>

    "Could you send me the book back".

    Since you have two objects here I'd say

    Could you send the book back to me.
