    Probability Problem

If I was to toss a coin one million times how many times would I expect the following to occur: -

    5 Straight heads or tails
    6 Straight heads or tails
    7 Straight heads or tails
    8 Straight heads or tails
    9 Straight heads or tails
    10 Straight heads or tails

    Regards

    What about (offhand):
    0.5^x * (10E6 - x + 1)
    ?
This covers 'ar least' x straight heads.
If you want exactly x successes, multiply by: 0.5^(10E6 - x)
