    Is this sentence correct?

    It's not incorrect (after David's correction), but I find 'music album' rather stilted. Here are the results of a quick BNC search I've just done:

You'll see that they're quite specific, either about the contents ("stamp album", "photograph album"...) or about the sort of music or method of recording or name of performer ("rock album", "compilation album", "studio album", "Nirvana album"...). So I think you'd be more likely to hear "The new album is sure to be a hit with the young", possibly (optionally) with a specification of the type
    "new live album"/"new R&B album"....

    I let that bit go. I presumed the speaker was differentiating a CD or vinyl from a photograph album!
