    quetion

    The sentence:

"We prefer seeing to everything else," says Aristotle, "because, above all the other senses, sight makes us know and brings to light the many differences between things."

About "the many differences between things" is it:

    (a) the object of "brings" only
    (b) the object of both "know" and "brings" ?

I think it's (b), but I'm not sure on this one.

I think it's b) too, otherwise "know" would miss an object. Perhaps it can work without, but this would make for a pretty strange sentence.

Can't it be intransitive as well?
