It is noted that, you have informed over phone to HR that you are availing a leave from 15th April 2008 onwards due to sickness of your Brother but you have not submitted the written leave application form. This is to inform you that without leave application, we are not able to process your salary. You are hereby asked to submit the leave application along with your Brotherís medical certificate details.
Failing which this is a serious breach of trust and that too on the part of the person who is in-charge of entire North operations. We, therefore, take a strong exception to this and ask you to explain within 24 hours as to why disciplinary action should not be initiated against you for the aforementioned act of yours.

Yes it has stated in the person's contract of work. We can give an excuse, if he is absent for work for 3-4 days, wherein, it is almost 15 days by now without any information from his end.
In that cast he has to provide a very good excuse for not following the rules
