    Question be grounds of

Failure to heed warnings from the Moderators and/or Administrators is grounds for suspension of posting privileges.

This was one of sentence while I must read before I registed.

please help to analyze the element of this sentence?

for example, I only make out that "is" in this sentence is a copula, but why "ground" was used as plurality?

"Grounds"(plural) means a reason for doing, saying or believing something.

This was a sentence which I read before I registered.

Could you help me to analyze the elements of this sentence please?

For example, I think that "is" in this sentence is a copula, but why is "ground" used as plurality?

zhengrong: Why would it be singular?
