    Hi,

    could you please tell me which of these is correct and why:

    1) I have decided that the reserve fund will be used to cover losses from previous years.

    2) I have decided that the reserve fund would be used to cover losses from previous years.

    I think the correct answer is the second one

    'I have decided....would....'

    Either. 1 in any case, and 2 if there is an implied condition - 'I have decided that the reserve fund would be used to cover losses from previous years [if in any year the auditors deemed it necessary to ...]'
