In AE, we commonly split the syllables between /z/ and /h/ in /Alzheimer's/. The /a/ is like the /a/ in /balls/,which rhymes with the first syllable:

Alz-heimer's

The Canadian pronunciation is quite consistent in that the “z” is pronounced as ‘ts” in the word “Alzheimer”. What is not consistent is the “a” in the first syllable which may be transcribed as /Z/ (as in “or”), /F/ (as in “hat”) or /]+/ (as in all). The "h" is in the second syllable.

In the U.S., it's

pal's (Alz as in pal's)

hi (Hi as in hi, or hello)

her (mer as in her)
