    "hand in" or "send"

    Dear All,

Which one is correct and why?

I usually ____ my history reports through e-mail.
    (1) hand in
    (2) send

Thanks a lot for your kind assistance.

    Best Regards,

It should be send through e-mail because to hand in implies that you're submitting something in person.
