    Hi, there!

    1.This photo reminds me of Mr. Smith.

    2.When I see this photo, I remember Mr. Smith.

    Does #2 have the same meaning as #1?

    The 2 sentences have slightly different meanings.

    #1) Although Mr. Smith may not be in the photo, there is something about the photo that reminds the viewer of Mr. Smith.

    #2) The person in the photo is Mr. Smith and the viewer remembers him.
