    Default modification of a sentence

    Dear teachers,

Would you be kind enough tell me whether I might modify the following sentence in the way, shown below?

I have a good mind not to do it at all unless he takes back all the nasty things he said.

I have no intention of doing it at all unless he apologizes for the nasty things he said.

    Thank you for your efforts.

    Regards.

They carry the same intention - that you will not do something unless he retracts.

However, the first indicates that you are likely to do whatever it is despite his actions [since you are saying that you are thinking of not doing it but probably will do it], whereas the second indicates that you definitely will not do it unless he apologizes.
